Jen asked:
My sister is 19 and the poor child has 3 brain tumors that need to be removed immediately. She will have to go through 8 hours of intense surgery and it will be a long revovery process. My family can not afford this, how can I go about getting help starting a fundraiser so my mother doesnt have to sell her house?

Go to your local newspaper and talk to radio stations and let them know you are doing a walk-a-thon for your sister. Explain that your are doing a fund raiser and would like people to participate and what the money is for. You do have to explain your sisters condition and with the way the economy is you have to explain about selling the house so your sister can receive surgery. Let them know the cost and the rehab cost after the surgery. Use this site also and let people know where you live what is going on.Find people who have had the same disease and get them to participate. The more that have been through it and have lived to tell about it the more involved the community will get.Hope this helps and praying for your sisters speedy recovery.
