Jessi McCafferty asked:

If your cheerleading team is in need of new uniforms, or needs funds to travel, give cheerleading fundraisers a try. You can do a myriad of interesting activities to make your fundraising programs a tremendous hit with the young crowd and the others of your community as well. The more innovative you can make your fundraisers, the more profitable they will turn out to be. But the biggest key to fundraising is shockingly simple - have fun! If you are enjoying yourself those around you will too and you will find your fundraiser to be much more successful.

Play the Chef

Cooking is an all-time hit among the cheerleading fundraising ideas. It offers a great scope to be creative by improvising the traditional recipes. But before you carry out the experiments, first collect as many simple recipes you can and write them down in your team’s cookbook. Use various sources for collecting the recipes. You may include the teachers, teammates, students, and their parents too. After you make successful alterations in these recipes, find a hot spot to sell them. With fun, smiling cheerleaders to sell the food, you can be assured of your profit.

Teach Cheerleading to Others

You can use your cheerleaders as a team brand. Use their popularity as the USP of your fundraising project. In fact, you can go ahead with holding cheerleading classes at a ‘cheerleading school’ where your cheerleaders will teach helpful tips and strategies. This can be one of the best fundraising programs if you know what to charge for each lesson. Make sure that all those cheerleading fans out there know about the details of this class to ensure maximum attendance. Your school’s gym is a good location for holding such classes.

Cheerleader vs. Cheerleader

You can make such classes far more interesting by holding a practical game between your cheerleaders and that of other teams. This will draw a huge gathering of sports enthusiasts. At the same time, it will send helpful lessons to those who aspire to be cheerleaders themselves. One of the many positive points of this fundraising idea is that it will cost you almost nothing in terms of investment. Comparing to that, the profit you will earn from the massive sell of tickets will be something to reckon with!

A Rummage Sale

It always helps your cause if you put effort into reselling surplus articles. This fundraiser is profitable and practical because it requires no prior capital to invest in it. Put up stalls asking your community members to deposit anything they do not need. You can also hold a door-to-door drive to pick up all those extra articles that can fetch you good funds. You may even find takers among your own community - what someone disposes can serve someone else’s purpose.

A Raffle

If you want an alternate selling idea for your cheerleader fundraising, go for a raffle. This will leave you ‘rich’ with a good profit margin. The trick is to sell the prize and the tickets at 50% of the actual collection. You can seek the help of PTA fundraising for executing such cheerleading fundraising ideas.

Tips For Success

~ It is important to promote your fundraising programs.

~ Equally important is you choice of venue. The local business showrooms and eateries are good spots for fundraisers. You need to pay them a certain share of your profit to avail this facility.

~ While you are conducting the fundraising activities, make sure you wear your team uniform for the benefit of the donors.

~ Keep a neat account of what you have collected and how much you need to collect to reach your target.

~ Always be official with your expression of gratitude to the donors.

Mention their names in on-spot signs or on your fundraising programs’ or your team’s website.

Tupperware Fundraiser Catalog

Anna Hart asked:

Tupperware fundraisers provide non-profit groups with an unusual, durable product for raising money for a project. Tupperware fundraisers are not to be confused with Tupperware parties. No party is used for a Tupperware fundraiser. Instead, products are offered in the usual fundraiser manner, with fundraiser coordination done by a Tupperware consultant.

Thinking back to the last fundraiser you had, you may have memories of cookies or candy bars, chocolates or pizza. Maybe you tried to sell cookie dough or honey. Whatever your customers ordered is long since gone and forgotten. It may have tasted good, or it may not. Either way, it was a consumable.

Tupperware fundraisers are not like that. These fundraisers offer durable products - products that are not available at the local supermarket.

Tupperware Fundraiser Catalog

Tupperware fundraiser catalogs are different from the company’s normal catalogs. Many items in the Tupperware fundraiser catalog are new and exciting.

The Tupperware fundraiser catalog itself is an exclusive catalog for nonprofit groups, such as schools, that want to use a Tupperware fundraiser. It is not available to those who shop Tupperware online or attend a party. The Tupperware fundraiser catalog currently (circa 2007) offers 65 different items. Most items are available only through a Tupperware fundraiser.

Since the aim of your Tupperware fundraiser is to sell to as many customers as possible, Tupperware fundraiser catalogs offer a wide variety of practical, innovative products. They offer a wide range of prices, too, so that anyone can find something affordable.

Tupperware Fundraiser Catalog Prices

The Tupperware fundraiser catalog offers products ranging from $8 to just under $40. For example:

* New “Prep Essentials” “Citrus Wonder” juicer - under $10 range

* New Wedge containers (set of 2) - under $15 range

* New “Noah’s Ark” sandwich keeper for kids - under $15 range

* New “Clear Impressions” small bowl - under $20 range

* New “Freeze Smart” mini set - under $20 range

* New “Grand Opener” gadget - under $30 range

* New color “Servalier” set - under $40 range

Tupperware fundraiser catalogs also feature the well-known Tupperware lifetime warranty on the products. Customers ordering through a Tupperware fundraiser are assured that their purchase is a lifelong investment.

Tupperware Fundraiser Catalogs’ Ease of Use

Many who have used the Tupperware fundraiser with its special catalog report good results. Here are a few comments from the Tupperware fundraiser website.

“Anyone who needs a fundraiser that is simple, sells itself, and fast without much effort should do this fundraiser. We have been doing fundraisers each year for 5 years now and this one is by far the best yet!” T.P., Soccer Team

“Everyone buys Tupperware so it was easy to sell the product. I’m sure that come next spring our elementary school will be running another Tupperware Fundraiser.” A.R., Elementary School

“This was a great fundraiser. People showed a lot of interest in your products. Thanks!” S.W., Non-Profit Organization

Helpful Tip

I am not now, nor have ever been a Tupperware dealer, but I believe the Tupperware fundraiser catalogs do most of the work for anyone taking part in a Tupperware fundraiser. If I ever have occasion to be involved in raising funds for a school or other non-profit group, I’m sure I will suggest a Tupperware fundraiser.

Guidelines for a Successful Fundraiser for your Church Youth Group

Shauna Hanus asked:

You may have done it before. Lined up all your volunteers and youth group kids and set out ready for your best fundraiser ever. Then flop. Your fundraiser does little more than get your church youth group parents and a few grandparents to show up. What went wrong? Most likely it was a few common and easy to make mistakes that kept your fundraiser from being a huge success. With the following guidelines in mind your youth group will be able to fundraise, have fun and show community involvement.

Your essential guidelines for youth group fundraising success;

1- Advertise. It is not enough to stay with in your congregation or youth group families when you are publicizing a fundraiser. In order for your fundraiser to be a true success you will need to expand your horizons and look beyond your own back door. Often time’s local Christian radio stations will have free advertising space or may offer discounted advertising for your youth group fundraiser. You can also contact your local newspaper. With a little fines you may be able to negotiate a great price on advertising for your fundraiser. Finally do not forget the ever important flyers and posters. If your budget is low, set your youth group to making flyers and posters for your fundraiser. This will both save you money and show great participation by your youth group.

2- Gather Volunteers. Your volunteers are crucial to the success of your fundraiser. It is the rare youth group that can pull off a fundraiser with out any assistance. Start with the parents and grandparents of your youth group members, and ask them to help with your fundraiser. Then spread out to other members of your congregation. If you have clear cut goals for your fundraiser members are far more likely to participate. You will also want to have a designated and organized leader for your fundraiser. All your fundraising volunteers need to know who to go to for help and they need to feel that your fundraiser is on track and doing great.

3- Location, Location, Location. If you are having a simple cookie dough fundraiser then selling in your church’s fellowship hall will probably suffice. However if you are holding a community wide fundraiser where you are opening yourselves up to all the community to attend you will need to pick a well know location. Ideas for locations are large parks, highshcool or junior high football fields or community college concert halls. With proper planning you will be able to accommodate a large number of community members and pull off a successful fundraiser.

Follow these guidelines and your youth group will take fundraising from a lack luster event to your most amazing fun and profitable fundraiser ever.

I don’t have alot of money and I can’t afford a student loan, and I don’t have any scholarships. I want to apply for classes to an online school (Penn Foster Career School) and they don’t offer financial aid. Is ther any possible way I can conduct a fundraiser to pay for my college tuition or is this not allowed. If it is allowed does anyone have any fundraiser ideas that I could use to raise around $600.00 for tuition?
